I chose Occupational Therapy as a career out of a desire to help others. Now, 19+ years later, I still love working as an Occupational Therapist and I am passionate about supporting clients to create or rebuild vibrant, meaningful lives and live well.
I began my career in paediatrics, then moved into working in neurology including spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury in the hospital setting. I have also worked in senior care, hospice, and oncology in the hospital. After having two kids, I transitioned into private practice with a focus on concussion, and expanded into mental health and persisting pain.
I am deeply curious about factors impacting health and recovery, and motivated to be more skilled at supporting clients with complex needs which drives my participation in ongoing professional education. Recently, I have had the privilege of bringing my hypoallergenic mini golden doodle, Noel, to work as she trains to be a therapy dog.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my husband and two children. This has included coaching youth sport, cheering my kids on in their various passions, and spending as much time outside as possible - running, walking, being by the ocean, and gardening.
