Colleen Hamilton, Occupational Therapist in Vancouver on Commercial Drive

Occupational Therapist | Commercial Drive, Vancouver

Areas of Expertise: Concussion, persistent pain, mobility and adaptive equipment, personal care assessment, trauma recovery, cognitive rehabilitation

I was born and raised in Victoria, BC, but have called Vancouver home for over a decade. I worked as a city planner for ten years before discovering occupational therapy while volunteering at a long-term care facility. Changing careers was a big leap of faith, but I’ve never looked back! I’m incredibly grateful to work in a role where I can support people in reaching their goals and creating meaningful change in their lives.

I completed my Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. I’ve worked in a range of settings, including acute care, community mental health and substance use, school-based pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, and with veterans. My clinical interests include persistent pain, concussion, mobility and adaptive equipment, and trauma recovery. I’m currently nerding out on cognitive rehabilitation and wheelchair seating.

I’m thrilled to be part of the team at Tall Tree. The culture of learning, strong team support, and the meaningful relationships built with clients make me look forward to going to work every single day.

Outside of work, I’m usually busy chasing my two kiddos or scheming to sneak out for a run along the seawall or in the forest.
