One of my very favourite questions to answer is: "what exactly is an occupational therapist?" I've been an OT for almost 10 years, and I love sharing the news about the myriad of ways that OTs can help support people of any age to participate in their daily activities and live more meaningful lives.

I began my working journey with plans to enter a career in education. However, I soon realized that I was constantly drawn to more personal, one-on-one interactions, where a deeper understanding between client and clinician is formed and where growth feels more tangible. I love collaborating with my clients to find real-life solutions that work for them, as I believe people are experts in their own care. I'm also passionate about working with children to foster increased independence at home and at school, and to empower families to reach their goals.

I always aim to mix my caring, compassionate approach with evidence-based treatment, and to stay open and curious about what the research shows.

When I'm not in the office, you'll find me exploring parks and farmer's markets with my husband and two young sons, or reading on the couch with a cup of tea.
