Areas of Expertise: Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Relationship Concerns, Identity Exploration, Grief and Loss, Personal Growth, Emotion Regulation
I've always been fascinated by people. I'm naturally curious about what shapes who we are, the relationships that influence us, the experiences that shape us, and the ways we make sense of ourselves and the world around us. That curiosity is what led me to counselling, and it's still one of my favourite parts of this work. I feel incredibly grateful that counselling allows me to sit with people, hear their stories, and support them through life's challenges and transitions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. Rather than relying on a single therapeutic approach, I draw from a variety of evidence-informed theories to tailor our work to your unique goals, needs, and experiences. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to work alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and honesty as we explore what feels most important to you. Together, we'll make sense of the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped your life while also finding practical strategies that support meaningful change beyond our sessions.
I'm especially interested in attachment, relationships, and understanding how our experiences shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. One of the things I love most about this profession is that there is always more to learn, and I value staying curious, continuing to grow, and bringing that learning into the work I do with clients.
Outside of the counselling room, you'll usually find me curled up with my two cats, wandering through a local bookstore, exploring the beauty of Vancouver Island, or enjoying a good cup of coffee. Whether you're reaching out for counselling for the first time or returning after some time away, I hope you'll find a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
