My career path and practice have been dynamic and continuously evolves to match my personal and professional interests in mental health. My experiences in performance settings (sport, performing arts, first responders, health care, corporate / business), active living, family, personal injury & health concerns, career & professional development, and leadership have shaped my practice and refined my areas of expertise. I use a multi-modal approach to therapy to meet the needs and preferences of my clients, with an underlying integration of a solution-focused approach that is client-centred and proactive in order to facilitate positive growth and self-agency moving forward.
Recently I have created an innovative, interactive, and self-directed mental health online tool called Mental Health Connections Self-Prescription to empower individuals to pursue positive mental health gains. This has been a passion and focus of mine for many years in response to the reality of the range of topics and issues in our personal, cultural, and societal experiences that our out of our control and negatively impact mental health.
Outside of my professional work I am married with two sons (now young adults) and I fill my disposable time doing things that bring me joy like hiking & walking, traveling, experiencing nature, reading, time with family & friends, and self-care.
