Ana Zhukova
Registered Clinical Counsellor | Port Coquitlam
Areas of Expertise: Women’s Health, Trauma, Sport Performance, Anxiety, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Habit and Routine Formation, Perfectionism, Work-life Balance, Emotional Regulation
As a mental health provider, I have a passion for discussing women’s issues, aiding with trauma, assisting young adults with transition periods or everyday concerns, navigating the high-demand sports world, and helping with low mood or stress, as well as with relationship problems.
I love research about childhood development, diversity, and cognitive psychology, and have contributed to such during my educational years.
During my practice, I offer a positive, client-centred approach and emphasize the importance of cultural humility, neuro-affirming care, and LGBTQI2SA+ experiences.
I will work to blend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques with Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while increasing your somatic awareness. I can also provide simple skills to improve your day-to-day life and offer ample opportunity for self-reflection.
Outside of the office, you can find me at a coffee shop with friends or family, hiking a trail, cuddling with my cat, or reading.
