Yasa Ibragimova
Occupational Therapist - Vancouver
Yasa graduated from Hamilton’s McMaster University in 2020 with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy after completing her Bachelor of Arts & Science with a minor in Cognitive and Social Psychology from the same institution in 2017.
The profession of Occupational Therapy was a natural fit, as it allows Yasa to combine her passion for athletics and progress with her empathy. She has extensive experience in mental healthcare and is passionate about increasing equitable access to care and dismantling illness-based narratives of mental health.
An avid traveler and lifelong learner, Yasa appreciates how Occupational Therapy lets her use her creativity to support others wherever they find themselves in their current path and enable them to gain the necessary skills needed to take their next step.
Whomever she supports in whichever life stage they currently find themselves, Yasa aims to meet her clients where they are at with warmth, dignity, and humour to empower them to move forward.
Outside of work, Yasa is most likely to be exploring the outdoors with friends or buried in a book, or, when one of the above has done her in, taking a very long nap in preparation for the next adventure.
