Megan Van Heyningen
Nutrition Coach & DEXA Technician | Cordova Bay
Areas of Expertise: Behaviour Change, Nutrition, Exercise, Stress Management and Sleep
Programs: Longevity Medicine, Sleep
I’m passionate about connecting with people to help make their healthy lifestyle changes feel achievable. I hold a degree in Exercise and Wellness and am a Registered Kinesiologist with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). My career began with coaching CrossFit and competing recreationally, where my passion for fitness, community, and nutrition flourished. I later became a certified Nutrition Coach and pursued extensive training and work experience in behavioural science, learning how to turn health knowledge into practical, sustainable habits through behaviour change.
Throughout my years at Tall Tree, I’ve worn a few hats including Kinesiologist, Change Coach, and manager of the Longevity Medicine Program. I’ve also provided Longevity Coaching and helped implement Continuous Glucose Monitors as an educational tool for people without diabetes. I bring this broad range of experience and knowledge to every client interaction, as well as lightheartedness and fun conversation.
After returning from maternity leave, I’m excited to be back as a Nutrition Coach and DEXA Technician. My areas of focus include nutrition plans for body composition and fitness goals, protein intake, balanced meals, practical meal-prep strategies, tons of education and, most importantly, accountability!
Whether you’re here for Nutrition Coaching or a DEXA scan, you can expect to leave with actionable steps relevant to your life and goal. Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me in the garden or mud kitchen with my toddler, hiking, lifting weights, or cooking with my family.

“Working with Megan has really helped me stay on track and I have been doing my exercises for a several months now without fail! Megan has a unique approach and a bunch of “tools in her arsenal” that she pulls out to help engage me and keep me interested in my own progress, helping me remain motivated and accountable to myself. She also gave me space for the weeks I did 70% of the plan instead of a 100%, and taught me the importance of doing the smallest version of the plan to create the habit. I would recommend connecting with Megan if you are finding it hard to stick to your goals!”
