Megan holds a degree in Exercise and Wellness, Nutrition Coaching certification, and is in the final stages of completing her certification in Change Psychology. She has gone through comprehensive training in behavioural science, allowing her to be uniquely equipped to assist clients in establishing healthy habits, mitigating unwanted ones, adhering to treatment plans, and formulating concrete action plans to obtain their health goals.

Within the framework of the Longevity Program, Meg's primary role is to guide and support you in various crucial aspects of health that we know significantly contribute to longevity. Additionally, she assumes the role of your accountability coach, ensuring regular check-ins to monitor your progress within the program.

Monika Johnston-Stewart - Nutrition & Integrated Health Coach

Monika is a pro at cooking delicious and nutritious meals. Monika can also set up your environment for success by working with you to go through your pantry and fridge to cleanse both of any foods that aren’t helping you achieve your goals.

She knows that one of the most effective ways to improve eating habits is changing your environment to make eating healthy the path of least resistance. Before your appointment, she will connect with you to discuss what you want to get out of your sessions together. Expect to have fun and eat some good food!

Evan Carey - Health Researcher

Evan is an honours kinesiology graduate and lifelong health promoter. Throughout his degree, Evan maintained a focus on cognitive neuroscience and completed an honours thesis in this field. A natural curiosity continues to guide him and motivate his efforts in research.

His years competing as a national team track cyclist gives away his commitment to β€œoptimizing”. Some might call him a perfectionist, but in Evan’s view, he simply has high standards. These standards energize his search and appraisal of the literature, and as a result he uncovers the β€œbest understanding” of things.

This is a superpower for his team. Although clients do not have direct contact with Evan, he informs the rest of us on the latest developments in the field of longevity medicine and can help dig through the research if a client has an enquiry that requires a deep dive.

Jade Elidoros - Health Navigator & Registered Nurse

Jade is a Registered Nurse and serves as your Health Navigator in the longevity program. She is a pro when it comes to the local healthcare ecosystem in Victoria. As your Health Navigator and Dr. Brother’s close teammate, Jade is a phone call away for any quick health questions you might have about yourself or about your family.

β€œA weird bump just showed up on my wrist…”, β€œMy kid developed this rash…”, β€œWhat’s better for back pain- Advil, Tylenol, or Voltaren?”.

Jade acts as our traffic control for medical questions and is a pro at pointing you in the right direction within the local healthcare system. She’s got the whole system cased and can guide you to the help you need.

Longevity Program FAQs

  • Longevity medicine is proactive, preventative medicine that is focused on delaying the onset of chronic illnesses for as long as possible so you can maintain your ability to live a full life. It’s an approach that aims to extend your lifespan and improve your healthspan - the number of years you remain healthy and free from disease. Much of what predicts how long a person will live and how healthy they’ll be is under their control.

  • Our longevity program is for motivated people who are keen to optimize their health, including making changes to their habits and physical activity.

This is not an β€œanti-aging” solution. There is no quick fix when it comes to improving your healthspan. It usually takes changes to optimize your exercise, sleep, nutrition, and emotional health. With an investment in proactive screening and testing, our longevity medicine program and specialized team can help you mitigate your risk and prevent chronic disease.

  • We’re a team of experts in wellness and longevity medicine. We scan the literature (science & research) that’s out there, figure out what actually works, and update our strategy based on that. Wherever possible, we design our program around hard, evidence-based, best practices. We go beyond β€œpop science” and current evidence by thinking critically. We question everything and never take recommendations for granted.

A science-based approach means taking the best available evidence, making hypotheses and testing those hypotheses as we go. Longevity science is young, and robust support for every intervention is limited. That means we take an educated guess, and keep a close eye on things to make sure they are working.

As an added layer, we compare trends and data against your individual scores to ensure that a particular course of action makes sense for you. The best program is the one that you feel good about and engage in. We marry science with humanity to help you successfully integrate healthy habits into your daily life.

  • Dr. Brothers may recommend supplements or vitamins based on any deficiencies your health metrics show. However, it is not a mandatory part of the program. We do not have a set of supplements that you must take.

We have a dedicated health researcher who informs our clinical team of supplements, tests, or products to be featured in our program and we are highly selective with what we support.

  • There are no real shortcuts to good health. We believe you will get out what you put in.

The personalized interventions our team suggests will vary based on your metrics, goals, and motivation. Expect to move more, eat better, test yourself, and have regular visits with Dr. Brothers. Strength and Conditioning, Health Coaching, and cooking classes will be a part of this too (depending on what Tier you sign up for).

For those in Tier 2 and 3, you can expect to see us a few times per month for support, and be changing your daily habits toward better health.

  • There are certainly people who can tackle this without our help. We’re here to help make the process easier, more efficient and effective. We recognize that knowing what to do is not enough to do it. Our programming is meant to help you address hard-to-change behaviours.

We’ve already sifted through the evidence - so you don’t have to. Based on our ongoing research, learning, and evaluation, we can help you put best practices into action. Beyond that, we are experts in our fields, and we’re available to help you understand your current level of health and potential risks so you can take steps to optimize your health and live longer. We’re your support system and clinical team combined. We’ll help you put a plan in place and make sure you reach your goals.

  • The Longevity Program is not eligible for MSP coverage. Some insurance providers may cover certain services in the program, but you’ll need to check with your provider to confirm.

If you have a health spending account through work (or another organization), fees for the Longevity Program are often an eligible expense. Check with your employer or provider to confirm.

  • No. In the longevity program, we focus on a few key areas of nutrition. If you’re looking for a meal plan or require nutritional therapy based on your health metrics, there is a dietician at Tall Tree that we can refer you to.
