I am a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia as well as most states in the US via PSYPACT. Being a neuropsychologist, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals across a wide array of settings and purposes from hospitals, universities, forensics, medical and academic disabilities, military veteran systems, and social services. My entire career has been focused solely on standardized assessment of neurodevelopmental, cognitive, and psychological aspects of brain function, but I am also a firm believer that numbers alone do not tell the story of a person’s life.
Even after many years of practice, I remain fascinated with how the brain functions throughout the lifespan, how differences in individuals can impact how they see and move through the world, and the tools we use to define not only what health and success is, but what it can be. The science is ever evolving and informing our understanding of how our minds process and interpret information, how we change with age, and the impacts not only disease and environmental challenges can have but also how social connection and meaningful engagement can alter outcomes. The brain is truly perhaps the final frontier in scientific knowledge and I find the fact we still have so much to learn both humbling and exciting.
Overall, I consider myself a lifelong learner with a love for nature. I also enjoy travel and my career has taken me places I could never have imagined, yet my drive to meet new people and learn new skills burns as bright as ever.
