What to Expect
Whether you're booking psychotherapy or a psychological assessment, we'll take the time to understand your goals, answer your questions, and recommend the care that's right for you. Together, we'll create a plan that supports meaningful, lasting progress.
Book an appointment or contact us to learn more.
-
Your first appointment is an opportunity to get to know your psychologist and discuss what brought you to therapy. Together, you'll explore your goals, develop a treatment plan, and determine the best path forward. If another Tall Tree clinician or program would better support your needs, we'll help connect you with the right care.
-
Follow-up sessions build on your treatment plan, helping you develop practical skills, gain new insights, and work through challenges over time. The number and frequency of appointments will depend on your goals and your psychologist's recommendations. Because appointment availability can be limited, we recommend booking follow-up visits in advance.
-
Need support for a specific concern? We also offer one-time therapy sessions focused on helping you navigate an immediate challenge or decision. Learn more here.
-
We offer comprehensive psychological assessments, including psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and sleep health assessments. Depending on the type of assessment, appointments can range from one hour to two full days.
Our team will guide you through the assessment process and explain what to expect before your appointment. Contact us to learn more about our assessment services or determine which assessment is right for you.

-
Many extended health plans cover psychology and/or counselling. Tall Tree direct bills ICBC for eligible psychology claims. Check your plan for the specific coverage — some plans distinguish between psychologists and RCCs.
