I chose this field as I see a need, both in healthcare and education systems, for more holistic experiences that empower people to gain skills to regulate the nervous system, explore inner wisdom, and learn about the mind-body connection.
I'm excited that western, modern-day science is merging with eastern, ancient practices to provide meaningful and effective tools for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
My approach to care is to meet people of all ages and abilities with a compassionate heart and open mind. I create individualized and accessible programs and provide resources to incorporate yoga and mindfulness techniques into everyday life.
Building community and mentorship is important to my practice. My studies in the mind-body connection have deepened over the years, learning with psychologists, spiritual teachers, and philosophers including my primary teachers Kevin Matthews and Lama Rabten Tshering.
When not on my yoga mat or meditation cushion, I enjoy teaching Kindergarten one day per week, dancing, reading a book on the beach and exploring the natural beauty on Vancouver Island with my husband, daughter and friends.

She makes these practices relatable (and achievable) for kids and adults alike, and the noticeable progress we have made together inspires us to continue with these practices at home.”
