I decided to become a speech-language pathologist after falling in love with Linguistics in my first year of university. I have always been a bit of a language nerd, and that passion grew into a broader fascination with human communication, connection, and development throughout my studies.
My interest in this field is also personal. As a child, I attended speech therapy myself and experienced firsthand the impact that compassionate support can have on confidence and everyday life. That experience continues to shape the way I work with clients and families today.
I am passionate about helping people develop communication skills that make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Whether I am working with a young child learning to express themselves more clearly or an adult navigating communication challenges, I focus on functional, real-world outcomes that help clients participate more fully in the activities and relationships that matter most to them.
My therapy style is play-based, collaborative, and family-centred. I love having parents and caregivers join sessions, not only to learn strategies for home practice, but also to celebrate alongside their child as new skills emerge and confidence grows. Some of my favourite moments as a clinician are witnessing the resilience, determination, and joy that clients bring to the therapy process.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and exploring the beautiful sights and delicious eats our community has to offer.
