MOVE BETTER WITH CLINICAL PILATES
Our Approach to Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates combines the principles of Pilates with physiotherapy to create a movement program tailored to your body, goals, and abilities.
At Tall Tree, you’ll work one-on-one with a physiotherapist who can assess how you move and guide you through exercises designed to build strength, improve mobility, support recovery, and help you move with greater confidence.
And because your Clinical Pilates sessions are provided by a physiotherapist, they can be direct billed to most extended health insurance plans under physiotherapy coverage.
Clinical Pilates can help with:
-
Build strength and gradually return to the activities that matter to you following an injury.
-
Improve strength, control, mobility, and overall movement through individualized exercises.
-
Develop better body awareness, control, balance, and stability through targeted movement.

Nancy Wang
Physiotherapist
Growing up, I loved sports, especially swimming and running, which is what inspired me to become a physiotherapist. I enjoy helping people move better, build confidence, and take an active role in their recovery. My favourite part of physiotherapy is getting creative with exercise selection and making rehab enjoyable. I’m especially interested in using Pilates to build both functional and specific strength, helping people move more efficiently and support the demands of their everyday life or sport.
I believe in working together with my clients, listening to their goals, and creating a plan that fits their lifestyle. I’m always looking for new ways to improve my skills and continue learning.

-
Clinical Pilates at Tall Tree starts with a one-on-one assessment with your physiotherapist to understand how you move, your current abilities, and your goals. From there, your physio will create a personalized Pilates-based exercise program designed to build strength, improve mobility and control, and help you move with greater confidence.
-
We recommend booking your first follow-up after your initial assessment to begin your personalized Clinical Pilates program and build on what you learned in your first session.
FAQs
-
No, in BC you can book physiotherapy directly without a referral. You can contact Tall Tree Health and book online, by phone, or by email. A referral is only needed if your extended health insurance specifically requires one for reimbursement, so it's worth checking your plan.
-
Because Clinical Pilates is provided by a physiotherapist, sessions are billed as physiotherapy and may be covered by your extended health plan. Tall Tree Health direct bills most extended health providers, so you may have little or nothing to pay upfront.
-
Clinical Pilates is currently available exclusively at our Vancouver clinic on Commercial Drive. Sessions are one-on-one with a physiotherapist and tailored to your movement, abilities, and goals.
-
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely and lets your physiotherapist easily assess your movement. Athletic wear, such as leggings, shorts, a T-shirt, or a tank top, works well. Grip socks are optional but may be beneficial depending on the treatment plan you and your physiotherapist develop together.
