Mallory (she/her) currently works as the Head of Medical and Lead Therapist with the Canadian Women’s Soccer Team. She has spent the last six years of her career working in high-performance sport; she worked with Rugby Canada as the Lead Therapist with the National Men’s 15s and 7s teams before switching to a full-time position with Canada Soccer. These roles have taken her to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she played an important medical role in the team’s Gold Medal performance, to the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and to various other international tournaments. Working in sport has provided Mallory with the tools to give athletes the support they require to overcome injury and return to performance.

Mallory completed her education at the University of British Columbia where she received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in French, as well as a Master of Physical Therapy.

She has experience helping people from all backgrounds achieve their goals, overcome injury and prevent future injury. She has worked with a variety of athletes (professional and “weekend-warriors”) and sports, including volleyball, skiing/snowboarding, swimming and softball. Whether you consider yourself an athlete, or just enjoy leisure activities, she truly believes that ‘movement is medicine’. Her treatment philosophy focuses on a patient centered approach with an emphasis on manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education. She is certified in dry needling and has her Sport Physiotherapy Canada Diploma and Sport Scientist Canada High Performance Certification. She also has continuing education in manual therapy and personal training.

When Mallory is not working as a physiotherapist, she enjoys exploring the outdoor beauty of Vancouver Island, traveling, cooking, spending time with loved ones, and getting a good sweat in! She is very excited to join the Tall Tree team and to contribute to the health and wellness of her community.
