Jonathan grew up on the stunning coastline of British Columbia where he developed a profound love for nature. He has a deep conviction that nature and well-being are interconnected and he integrates the healing power of nature into his therapeutic approach. He believes that by fostering a stronger bond with the natural world, individuals can explore their internal landscapes and find deeper meaning and healing. Jonathan is thrilled to be part of the Tall Tree family, offering integrated health practice alongside other practitioners.

Jonathan helps adolescents and adults navigate life transitions, and manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. He approaches his work from a strength-based perspective, recognizing the expertise and resilience of his clients, and also helping them to develop new skills to reach their goals. Jonathan aims to empower individuals and destigmatize the therapy experience by offering new skills, listening with unbiased and non-judgmental ears, and actively participating in the healing process. He brings a sense of fun and playfulness into the counselling space, creating a warm and inviting environment.

Jonathan holds a Master’s degree in counselling psychology and has received advanced training in Nature-Based Therapy and DBT skills. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, he adheres to a high level of professional and ethical standards for his profession.

When Jonathan is not at work, you will find him skiing, mountain biking, camping, or on one of the many beaches around Victoria.
