Silke is delighted to be working alongside such a passionate and talented team of health care professionals. She loves the multidisciplinary approach at Tall Tree and sees it as a vital part to achieve optimal health.
Silke strives to discover the root cause of her clients' health concerns to facilitate their healing process. In her practice, she frequently uses myofascial release, joint mobilization, Muscle Energy Technique, and Visceral Massage to treat a variety of issues in women's health, pre and post-natal care, recent injuries, rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
Silke graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007, and later became a faculty member at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy where she taught and assisted. Through this experience and continued professional development, she has developed her many techniques as a therapist.
Silke continues to broaden her training in Visceral Massage, as she is fascinated in this techniques ability to aid in the body's innate ability to heal itself. She also feels that the abdomen is an area often overlooked, but can offer a significant piece to the healing process.
In her free time, Silke enjoys exploring nature, camping, and swimming with her husband and three kids. She finds herself relaxing in her garden, surrounded by her kids and two cats, where she is coaxing a dormant green thumb.
